That’s All, Brother Flights at New Orleans – March 29-30, 2019
The crew of That’s All, Brother led the main force of the 101st Airborne’s assault into Normandy, France on D-Day, June 6, 1944.
The aircraft was sold as surplus after the war, and over time it’s historical significance was forgotten. In 2007, an Air Force historian researching his unit used the tail number “292847” to track the aircraft down to a boneyard in Oshkosh, WI, where it was to be scrapped or converted.
In 2018, after a three year, multi-million dollar restoration, That’s All, Brother returned to the sky in it’s June 1944 configuration. It will return to Europe in June 2019 as part of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
